Koda My tiny paws thudded lightly as I stumbled into the unfamiliar forest. It all felt so strange to me, coming here alone without my mother... My mother, where was she, hadn't I searched all the likely places where she must had dissappeared to? Dissapered. maybe that was what happened, maybe she vanished off the face of the Earth? No, what a stupid idea, the only way that could work was if she had been... I tried not to think about it.
I sniffed the floor, looking for some sign to help me to fins someone, anyone that could help me... nothing. I let out a small groan. What I would do to have another's company with me right now... Wait, what was that? I span around quickly, ears strained to help me hear what I just heard. Did I have company after all? I wondered... What if it was someone I should be aware of? What if they were a danger to me. My lack of education held me back from figuring out what I should do, I mean, after all I'm not even a year old yet! |

Silver fur flew as the white mixed grey femme faced through the forest. Her paws made a soft thud on the forest floor as she ran. She carfully looked back, listing to every sound behind her. Thankfully the sound of hooves where gone. Rush By stopped in her tracks, now panting hard. " I am so stupid." She muttered to herself. Never again was she going to try to take down a whole herd of elk. Rush looked around, unsure of what new land she happened upon. Her throat was dry for water, her stomach acking for food. Rush leaned over a small pilled of snow and ate it happly. This small sorce of water would last her for a while unto proper water was found. Hungry, Rush began her search of a meal. Rush moved into a walk, snifting the air for a sent. A small breeze brushed through the trees, catchng Rush's attention. A sent lazily flowed around her, becening her to follow. The sent was from a small and possible helpless creature, a very easy meal for Rush. Rush turned and followed the sent at an egar pace. She flew over fallen trees and logs. Rush By was a very skilled hunter, for she had to learn how to hunt by the time she was 5 months. She was not about the let this little meal go. The sound of small paws then filled her ears. A Rabbit? Rush though as she move swiftly through the trees. Then something made her stop in her path, the smell of a pup. A feel of horror fell over the white wolf, a pup he must have been alone for I would have smell this mother. Rush could see not to far away was a small bundle of tan fur. Slowly and quicktly she walked over near the pup, yet she was still far enough to not been seen by it. There were no other wolves by him, nor any other pups. Rush could feel her heart going out for this small long babe, for she once was one. Rush looked to her right to see a small white rabbit hopping about. Rush raced over and leaped on the little rabbit, biting its neck fast for a quick death. She picked up the now dead rabbit and troted up to the pup. She dropped the rabbit by the pups small paws and smiled. " You hungry?" She asked with a smile. Rush couldn't help but go gaga over the little guy, for she had always loved pups. "And whom might you be?" She asked sweetly. {ooc} whoa.. I had alot of muse, omg I just want to cuddle that little puppy XD he is sooo cute!!

OOC: lol I know! I saw the picture and I was like omg that is sooooo cute. Koda Turning my head the the soft paws of the white rabbit, i immediately felt my stomach growl at me. I hadn't had anything to eat for days because I have not yet learnt to hunt. Remembering what the other wolves used to do in my pack, I crouched down low in the snow, feeling quite camouflarged. My tail stuck up high in the air, I wiggled it slightly, like winding a toy up ready to pounce. All of a sudden a large white wolf had jumped out of nowhere and landed on top of the small creature, her teeth grasping around its neck tightly to crush it to death in a matter of seconds. Catching me by suprise, I tumbled backwards into the soft pile of snow.
My black orbs watched her cautiously as she dropped the rabbit of my feet. "Yeah... I am hungry... thanks," I said, still stunned by the wolf's enterance. My tiny sharp teeth gripped the soft fur as I began to tear it away so I could get to the meat. "I'm Koda," I replied, smiling slightly, blood staining my muzzle. I licked my lips and returned to my food which I ate greedily. I was so hungry. I looked back up at her kind face and realised I had forgotton my manners. "Um... do you want some?" I asked, pushing the carcus towards her with my nose. |

Rush watched the staved little cub tear up the rabbit. Poor thing must have been starving, Rush By though as she watched him. The pup then lifted his head from his me and spoke, "Koda, nice name. I am Rush By." She said to him strongly. Rush was very proud of her name, because it told of her great speed and strenth. Her gazed went south to the rabbit now at her feet. "Oh no dear I got this for you, I'll be fine." She said to Koda, while pushing the rabbit back to him.
Rush's golden eyes scanned the area around them, trying to see if just maybe Koda's family was not to far away. "Your not here alone are you?" She asked with a slight worried tone in her voice. All she could think of was when she was 5 months and all alone. The worse part was finding out her father was a killer, and that her mother had died. It was very hard for a small pup as her to learn how to live, yet she did.
Rush sat down by Koda, just waiting for him to finish. If this pup was truly alone she wasn't about to just leave. So there she sat, just waiting patiently for Koda.

Koda I dug back in to the unrecognisable carcass of the rabbit while the older wolf searched the clearing for something. Rush By, I thought. Pictures of an extreamely fast wolf sprinting through the dark forests formed inside my mind.
"Your not here alone are you?" she asked me, still looking through the gaps in the trees as though half-expecting a pack of wolves to come and attack her. I stopped eating my food - mostly because I was done - and gazed up at her, my golden eyes searching her face. "Yeah, I'm alone," I answered, my eyes now wondering to the trees and fenced off the small clearing.
My thoughts turned back to where my mother was again. "Actually, I'm looking for my mother," I said to her. "My pack was attacked by another pack of wolves the other day and we got split up." |

Finally noticing that no one was else was here, Rush By gave all of her attention to Koda. Hearing that he was alone crushed Rush, for she knew what it felt to be alone at such a young age. "I'm sorry" She said in a very low whishper, he head lowered and ears went back. She felt so sorry for this little guy. Yet what could she do? Even though Rush loves pups and would anything for them she was not the mothering type. She had never been taught how to act like a mother, so she just simple does know how.
Rush's head and ears shot up as she listend to Koda's next comment. There was what she could to help for Rush was one of the best trackers you could ever find. "I'll help you look for your mother if you would like." Rush said to Koda.

Koda I felt my ears prick up and my golden eyes widen. "Will you, Rush? Will you really help me find my mother?" I asked, trying to hide the excitement in my vioce but failing. My tail waved happily through the air. I couldn't help but leap high into the air with joy and nip at her soft ears.
A small breeze rustled through the leave on the trees. I couldn't wait so start this adventure with Rush By. Not only might I get to see my mother again, I would also get to spend time with this interesting character who seemed like bundles of fun. |

Rush laughed as Koda jumped on her and nibbled at her ears. She rolled onto her back and nibbled at Koda. Never before had I laughed so much. Rush though to herself. She then rolled back onto my belly and looked right at Koda. "I will help you, you can trust me." Rush said with a smile. A small breeze blew past the forest, now was the perfect time to start. Rush leaned near Koda, deeply inhaling his sent.
Two main reason that Rush did this, one she was able to get a small sent of a female wolf. And two, incase they would every get separted Rush could find him within seconds. As the next wind past through the forest, a fiamilry sent can by her nose. Rush leaped up and started the journery. "You coming?" Rush said with a laugh to Koda. She was so happy that she was able to get a slight sent of Koda's mother. She knew though that because the sent was faint, Koda's mom was far far away.
Rush started out with a face pace walk. She hoped that the little pup could follow she see loved to go fast, even when she walked. Rush waited until they were out of the clearing then she slowed down. Rush jumped up on a rock and lifted her head, trying to find out which way the sent was going. "North West." Rush muttered. Rush jumped from the rock, and walked in the north west direction. Because this was going to be along jounrey, Rush started asking Koda questions just to know more about him.
"So what happened to get you speaerated from your mother?" She asked.

Koda I couldn't help but giggle slightly as Rush poked her moist nose in my fur to inhale my scent. As she leaped up, I followed quickly, realizing that our long adventure had just began - brilliant! I skipped around her as we left the clearing. When I found my mother I would always stay in contact with her. We had only just met but it seemed necessary.
When Rush asked me about how I had split up with my mother, I stopped the playful prancing as I tried to concentrate on the details I remember of the event. "The whole pack were relaxing at the lake," I said, telling her what memories flashed through my mind. "There was another pack coming through the trees; my father was challenged by the other alpha - I don't know what happened about that because the fight sort of slowly moved away from the pack to somewhere near the cliff; the alpha came back and his pack attacked us just like that - I managed to escape alone but I'm not sure what happened to my mother. The last memory I have of her is when I turned around to see her fighting another wolf." |

Rush's heart went out for Koda. Being seperated from his mother in a horrible way. If the pact had been attacked, there was no way that Rush could tell if Koda's mother was still alive. But of course not wanting to scare Koda or even make him worry Rush was going to have to keep cool. " I am truly sorry." She said quietly. "I am sure we will find her." I then said with a slight mile.
Rush moved into a walk, and stayed on her sent path. Just then she stopped and turned to Koda. "Promise me this Koda. Don't think about what had happened, but think about what might happen ok?" She said. Rush could remember a time where she was young and could not stop thinking of the past. With that she nearly died. She knew that by not thinking of the past, Koda could still have hope.

Koda I gave her a slight nod as she said that and followed close behind her, my mind thinking of the future. Would I ever find my mother or was all hope lost and she was already dead? No. I wouldn't allow myself to think of it. Small paws stepped in the footprints of Rush as I dropped back a little to let her have the lead. The path was also narrowing so I couldn't stay beside her. Every now and then I let some little noise escape from my mouth to remind her I was there.
As we got deeper into the forest, it got gloomier as the tops of the trees shadowed us, letting little to no sunlight filter through the leaves. The damp floor matted the fur around my paws as I skipped behind the older wolf. |
