-Spellbinding Superstition-
I stand at the top of the falls. I am standing so close that the spray of the water going over the drop wettens my ebony coat. My ears stand at attention, listening to the music sung by the falling waters. I let my eyes search out in front of me. The land seems never ending. This is the happiest that I have been in a while. I look down at the water falling to join the waters below. I toss my mane lightly. "Here I am world," I cry to through the deafening sounds of crashing water. I have been loney for far to long and fear that I will go crazy if I never see another horse again. I turn and start a fast paced trek to the bottom of the falls. I slide on slippery rocks and jump over rocks and other path blocks. After a few minutes, I am standing opposite my prior location. I look up to the top of the falls. The spray at the bottom is greater than that at the top. I soon feel soaked to the bone. My nostrils are flared, breathing in the sweet scents of the water. I move closer to the rushing stream. I push my hooves deep into the soft earth to anchor myself. I lower my head to the water and dare a drink. I back away from the spot a few yards, once finished. I let out a yearning call to the world around. I let my ears swivel and search for a reply.

Dark Moon
The beauty of this world has not ceased to amaze me. It was unfortunate that I had no one else to share this while, but still I hoped in finding someone. I walked through the forest eying every little detail. Colors and shapes where every where. Even one the waterfalls were a greenish hue. If only I could have this land, but not to forget that I, Dark Moon and King of all of the light lands. " Here I am World!" A voice slowly entered into my head. I stopped right in my tracts, listing hard. The voice was from a femme. A mare was know in this land with me, and who knows maybe more could be with her.
I cantered in hope to find this mare. I heard another whinny from the mare. I quickened my pace. After a few minutes of trying to find her my eyes laid upon a beauty. She was pure black, with white on her left hoof. I trotted over to her. " Hello, m'lady." I said to her with my smooth lyrics. " And whom might I have the pleasure of meeting?" I asked her.

I turned to look at the voice that spoke for me. "I am Spellbinding Superstition," I said to the white horse, "Spell for short. And your name?" I moved towards the stallion a step, my feet settling into the ground. I looked him over. He was tall, very tall. The only coloring that took away from his white was the black of his muzzle. He was a stunning sight on my eyes. I am gladdened that someone found me and that my cries were not in vain. He was alone though. This makes me curious of him.

I smiled at the femme. " A beautiful name, for a beautiful mare." I said to her. " My name is Dark Moon, you can just call me Moon." I looked area the mare, there was no sign of any other horse. I did not mind just us. I have been waiting so long to be able to talk with someone. I knew that no one could resis the beauty of this land. " So what brought you here Spell?" I asked.
Just be loking at this mare, I could tell she was from a good bloodline. Not that it matters of course. I wanted to know more about this mare, for she sems to be a good comany. My orbs drifted from Spell to the watrefalls. It was a true blessing that I found this land.

"Betrail and random wandering," I answered nonchalantly, "What brought you here?" I find it interesting that this beautiful stallion could have been named Dark Moon when he seems so far from being a dark spirited horse. I am curious to him. He seems kind, but I have been down that road before and it left me empty and alone. Not something I want to revisit.
I shook my mane to relieve of the wet that had settled upon it. The water was cool on my skin.

" I see..." I mumbled. I could see that this mare must have had a bad past, which in so time I would find out. I looked up at the mare wondering if I should tell her everything. I could see on her face she was curious of me. I sighed and replied " Well, My Father and Mother were leaders of a dark herd. And when I was born I was to take over. You see my father was a murderer and my mother, she was a nightmare. They hoped that I would follow in there footsteps, but a las I am not a dark horse. So my parents hated me. Even more so when my brother was born and become the son I wasn't. So I ran away from the herd. I just wanted to get away and start over."
I sighed, it felt so good to get that out. I just hoped finding out I'm a dark princes wouldn't scare Spell off. I watched Spell as she enjoyed the water. " I bet you'll love my lands." I said quietly. The words came out without me knowing what I was really saying.

I felt nervous about this beautiful stallion having such an ugly past. Would he be the kind to betray as well? But the last comment quietly uttered from his lips gave me a feeling that he could be a decent horse. "I do love your lands," I said softly to him. "They are spectacular." I hope he will feel in less of a siging mood if I complimented him. I geuinely loved the falls. I haven't had a chance to view all the lands but I have a feeling they will be just as great. I moved the slightest closer to him. "The past is the past. No?"

I looked up to the sky. I was really worried that Spell would get scared by me. I was much taller then her, for my 18hh body towered over her. I looked to her as she spoke. " Yes... the past is the past." I said to her quietly. I looked deeply into her eyes, almost trying to read her. I still knew nothing of this mare.
The warmth of the sun was soon making me over heated. I turned to look at the waterfall and the clear pool under it. Slowly I walked into the cool water. Then picked up my paced and trotted in. The water felt wonderful on my warm pelt. I went deeper into the pool until the water came up to my shoulders. I tried to swim in the pond, but because of my height, my feathered hooves could still touch the bottom. So instead of trying to look gracefully in the water, I looked like a big duck. I did not mind, I am a fairly good natured horse.

I felt a little but guilty for not letting this horse, who was so completely open with me, know the slightest of my past. I watched him attempt to swim in the depths of the water. I walked slowly to the watery edge of the pond. My feet settled into the mud as stood their for a moment. I wonder if Moon wondered of me. I would have gone into the water right away if I was not worried that it would offend him. Slowly, though, I made my slow paced way into the water. I carefully placed a foot into the water. The water swirled around it. Then I placed the next foot. It felt good in the cool of the moving water. Soon I was standing with the water up to my knees. I lowered my lips to the water. I looked at Moon with questioning eyes as I raised my head to just below the normal carrying level.

I watched Spell as she carefully found her footing in the water. Just then I had an idea. I lowered my head, which almost touched the water's clear serface. Slowly, I swam to Spell hoping she wouldn't see me. A went closer to her as she drank from the pool. Using my muzzle, I started to splash Spell. A light laugh escaped my maw as stopped. I could not stop thinking of this mare. She seemed quiet to me, or is she hiding something. Still I didn't want to by nosey. I knew she would tell me at the right time. So that didn't matter nkow, what matters is that I have found someone that I can talk to and trust. " Did you come here on your own?" I asked her. I never really thoug hthat maybe she brought a friend with her. Surely a mare such as herself left her herd alone right?

I laughed at the water Moon splashed at me. Then I took a more serious tone. "I have come alone," I said softly. I feared that he would be angered that I was alone. I watched him for a minute. "Don't you wonder of my past," I asked in a nonchalant way so that he wouldn't find me as suspicious.
The water pulls at my tail as I wait for Moon to answer me. I look into his eyes, trying my best to make myself seem trustworthy. I feared his rejection more than anything. His wouldn't be the first.

Alone? I felt deeply worried for Spell. She could have gotten hurt, thankfully she seemed to be ok. " I see, for I have come here alone as well..." I said quietly. I looked up at her as she spoke again. " I do wonder about your past, but is it better to say it when you feel is the right time." I said. Even though I really wanted to know more about her, I did not want her to feel as though I was pressuring her to tell me. I looked up at the sky to see the sun slowly faddening. The sky turned from a bright blue to beautiful hues of pink and orange. I looked back at Spell.
She looked even more beautiful in this light. I have to say, I was growing quiet fond of her. Noticing that night was soon approching us I realized that Spell had no place warm to sleep. " uh Spell... If you have no where to stay tonight, I have much room in my lands. If you would like to come." I said. I felt silly asking her the way I did. I sounded just like a little colt, and that is no way a King should speak.

I wondered why such a magnificent stallion would be alone here. He must surely have a herd. I fidgeted about revealing to him the past that made me. He soon, though, took that fidgeting away when I heard his words. He makes me feel a hope in my chest and also a worry. I hope I do not make the same mistake I had before again. "I don't have a place to stay," I said, "But I don't want to burden you." I lied when I said that. I know he wouldn't mind. It amazed me the way he stood out against the night sky. His coat seemed to be made from the very essence of the moon. "But if there is no burden, then I would gladly accompany you to your lands." I think that maybe I should allow trust another try. Maybe on his lands I will reveal my life to him.

As I looked at Spell, I could get a small glimece of her past. She was hurt. Hurt in a way that I might never know, what many horses don't know about me is I pay close attention to every detail. Even more so in the eyes. Eyes are a gateway to someone's life, their soul. I figure that that was why she seem scared of me, maybe she scared of trusting again. Still very unsure, but that might just be a clue to Spell's past. I lowered my head, so I was closer to Spell then whispered " You can trust me." I smiled at Spell's comment. " Oh yes because your such a burden to me." I said with a laugh.
I looked into her eyes then spoke softly, " Come." I then turned around and walked out of the water, hoping Spell would follow. " My lands are just south of here, about an hour journey. Its really not that bad." I said stopping on dry land to look up. I looked at the starts as a way to show me where to go. After a few minutes of get direction I started to walked again, my hooves making deep imprints behind me.

I felt a ping in my gut. He made me feel like I really could trust him. His words installed a trust in him that I hope isn't going to cost me. I followed him out of the water. Water dripped to the ground, falling off of my body and tail. My feet sunk into the ground as I walked. I trotted to catch up to Moon. My tail clung to my legs as I moved. I slowed to a walk once I reached him. I shook my head as I walked next to him. It felt right to me to be next to him. I glanced at him to see if he felt the feeling that I felt.

I looked downwards to see Spell right besides me. With her by my side, the sir seemed to change. I wasn't sure what it could be, for I had never felt this way before. I smiled at Spell as I felt her orbs on me. I then looked up and straight a head.
{ooc} If you want I can make a new post at Moon's land.
